About
not just fancy puts every restaurant in the Michelin Guide on one map, shows what real diners think of each one, and links you straight to booking where there's a way to book online.
Why
A Michelin listing tells you a restaurant is worth a look. It doesn't always tell you whether people leave happy. Some selected restaurants turn out to be a letdown in real life, and their Google reviews say so.
So we put the two side by side. That's why the map starts by showing only restaurants rated 4+ on Google: yes, some Michelin restaurants score lower. Set the rating filter to Any to see them all.
It began as a tool for friends and family, a few of them serious foodies tired of switching between the Michelin Guide and Google Maps to check that a recommendation is actually well reviewed.
Booking online
Google Maps and the Michelin Guide only offer a booking button for the reservation services they partner with. We check every restaurant's own website instead, and when we find a way to book online, we link you straight to it.
Not checked yet? Open the restaurant and we'll check its website there and then.
Not a replacement
We're not here to replace Google Maps or the Michelin Guide. Both are indispensable, and you'll keep using them to plan a great meal at home or on your travels. We simply bring the answer to “is it actually good, and can I book it?” into one place.
